About Me

Hi! I’m Megan Primrose. I am a welsh writer, artist and mother, living in a small fishing town in Northeast Scotland.

I am currently writing a story for 8-12 year olds and drawing some illustrations for it too. Favourite authors include Roald Dahl, Meg Rosoff, Dr Seuss, Spike Milligan, Hilaire Belloc and David Wiesner.

I also write short stories and poems. I have been shortlisted for the Bridport Prize and for the Toast Works of the Heart Competition. My poems and short stories have appeared in literary magazines in the UK and abroad. I have an MLitt in Creative Writing from the University of Glasgow.

In my spare time I like reading, drawing, long walks with a view and being active in the great outdoors (wild swimming, kayaking, cycling) playing the piano and violin, gardening, baking, going to the theatre and eating dinner with good friends. I am reasonably good at all of these. I am hopeless at dealing with blood, eating jelly or going upside side down on rollercoasters.
